Terms of use
The short version: learn as much as you like, pay what you think it is worth, do not abuse the sandbox, and your work stays yours.
The service
VersityHub provides self-paced programming courses with automatic code checks in your browser. Courses are described on their pages; the free introduction never requires payment. We may change lessons, checks and the interface over time; your saved work is kept.
Accounts and guests
You can start without an account. Guest progress lives on the browser you used and is deleted 30 days after your last visit unless you add an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account.
Pay what you want
For paid steps you choose the amount, including nothing. Every amount gives the same lessons and checks. Payments are taken by [payment provider] in GBP. If something went wrong with a payment, write to [[email protected]] within 14 days and we will refund it.
Your code and content
Code, reflections and other work you create belong to you. You give us permission to store and run them to provide the service. Lesson texts, exercises and checks belong to VersityHub and may be used for your own learning only.
Fair use of the sandbox
Code checks run in a shared, limited environment. Do not try to break out of it, attack other systems, mine currency, or flood it with submissions. We may limit or suspend accounts that do.
No certification
Passing checks shows that your code met the published examples for that lesson version. It is not a certificate, grade or guarantee of skill.
Ending your account
You can delete your account and all your work at any time by writing to us. We may close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
Liability and law
The service is provided as is for learning purposes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. [Entity name, company number, address.]
